Navago Cruelty Free Indie Beauty Shopping Site

Navago Cruelty Free Indie Beauty Shop

Beauty Bunnies! I have discovered a new site that sells natural, organic and cruelty free beauty products. They specialize in indie brands, so this is a great place to find unique goodies that may be completely new to you. The site is called Navago and I happily tested out a selection of cruelty free indie makeup from some of their brands.

Dome Cosmetics Cruelty Free Gold Mousse Eyeshadow 24K Gold

Cruelty Free Dome Cosmetics Eye Jewels 24K Gold Swatch from Navago

I had never heard of the indie brands that Navago sent for me to review, and I was pleased to discover some really great stuff that I may not have found elsewhere. Let’s start with the product that caught my eye first – the Dome Beauty Eye Jewels in “24K Gold” ($31). If you follow my Instagram stories, you probably saw me gushing over this one. (Check out my InstaStories and you’ll see my honest reactions to everything as soon as it comes into my office!) The Eye Jewels eyeshadow mousse in 24K gold had me ohhing and ahhing as soon as I saw it. It comes in a small glass pot and it has a spongy, mousse-like feel to it. I tried applying with my finger and a brush. Both worked, but the brush gave me a little more control. You only need a little bit. It goes on wet but once it’s dry, it doesn’t budge. It was very easy to blend. It’s SUPER metallic and shimmery. This baby could go toe to toe with Urban Decay any day of the week. In addition to gold, it also comes in Chocolate Diamond (a deep coppery brown), Platinum (looks to be a light plum from the photo) and Ruby Red (a brownish red). I think I need to get all of these now – I’m in love!

Baiser Moondust Glow Stick Pink Highlighter

Navago also sent me the Baiser Beauty Glow Stick Moondust Highlighter ($25). This stick highlighter has super cute packaging. If I saw this in a store, I would be drawn to it immediately. The formula is majorly hydrating thanks to shea butter and avocado oil. It’s 100% organic and vegan. It gives a sheer glow to dry, winter-ravaged skin – with an iridescent pink shimmer that mermaid makeup fans will love. You can apply it directly to the tops of your cheekbones, tip of your nose, cupid’s bow and under your brows for a lovely goddess glow. You can even apply it to your décolleté, legs, or anywhere you want a little extra shimma!

GIA Minerals Party Girl Pink Lipstick from Navago

GIA Minerals Party Girl Pink Cruelty Free Lipstick Swatch from Navago

Let’s talk lippies! I tried the GIA Minerals Nourishing Matte Organic Lipstick in “Party Girl” ($27). Oh wow! This is 100% my kind of lipstick. It’s super creamy and hydrating, blends easily, and is highly pigmented. Natural doesn’t mean boring, and this is proof! Party Girl is a really pretty raspberry pink that is definitely going into heavy rotation in my lipstick collection. It’s Winter and I need hydration so my lips don’t get chapped and fall right off my face (my skin is so dry right now). I’m definitely going to be trying more of these lipsticks!

AILA Cruelty Free and Vegan Nail Polish from Navago

AILA Vegan Nail Polish in Namaste

I tried two nail polish shades ($14) from AILA Cosmetics (pronounced “eye-luh”). I love everything about these polishes. The brush is not too big or too small (seems insignificant but it can make the difference between a professional looking or amateur polish application), the polish went on smoothly without being too thin or too thick, and there are a ton of gorgeous shades to choose from. The polish is ultra-luxe: 8-free, vegan, gluten-free, made in the USA, and designed by a doctor (podiatrist Dr. Cary Gannon). I tried Namaste – a light mauve neutral “nude” shade and My 2 Jeffs (named after Dr. Cary’s ex-husband and current boyfriend!) – a deep navy with purple shift. I found them to be very long-lasting and they didn’t chip. They kept their shine well, which made some people think they were gels!

Mayur Naturals Cruelty Free and Vegan Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner

Mayur Naturals Cruelty Free and Vegan Mascara

Mayur Naturals Cruelty Free and Vegan Mascara

I tried two products from Mayur Naturals – the Smudge Proof Liquid Liner ($19.98) and the Nourishing Mascara ($17.98). Both are made with natural and organic ingredients. They’re made in the USA, paraben-free, gluten-free, vegan and cruelty free. The liquid eyeliner comes with a hard felt tip (not flimsy like a brush) for precise application. It’s fairly large for those of you who love to rock a bold cat eye look. The formula is full of nourishing ingredients that you’d normally find in skincare, like squalane (from olives), aloe vera, rosemary leaf extract, chamomile and Vitamin E. The dark black mascara is also full of hydrating ingredients like chamomile, sunflower oil and Vit E. If you have lash extensions, it’s better to skip this one because of the oil. I really like it for my lower lashes though, because it keeps them healthy without smudging or clumping.
Kiss Me Honey organic lip balm
Kiss Me Honey organic lip polish exfoliator
Last but not least are the USDA organic lip polish ($15.99) and lip balm ($5) by Kiss Me Honey. The founder, Kellie Duran, started the line after she found her baby eating one of her lip balms! Truth be told, our dog loves to steal and eat our lip balms too. Kellie started looking at what was in the lip balms and she found lots of unnecessary chemicals that actually dry lips out instead of healing them. She created her line of organic lip balms with natural and USDA certified organic ingredients that you can actually pronounce! I tried the coconut scent, and it’s really nice – moisturizing but not overly heavy or greasy. The Exfoliating Lip Polish is made with organic honey, sugar and coconut oil. It’s perfect for getting rid of that gross chapped skin from your lips while adding moisture at the same time. Just scrub your lips and wipe off – no need to rinse.
