Too Faced Natural Face Palette Review and Swatches

Well if you guys follow me on Instagram (and if you’re not – ya should be!), you probably saw my post about the Too Faced Natural Face Palette. I was a little bit shocked, because these are highly pigmented blushes, bronzers and highlighters and they are very shimmery (all except for one anyway), which is not something I usually associate with the word “natural.” But after I dug in to the palette, and actually put them on my face, I was surprised to see that they actually do look quite natural!

There are actually multiple finishes  – there’s one matte, 2 satins and three shimmers:

Highlighters:

  • Starlight (shimmer – frosted pink champagne – a gorgeous, warm-skin-tone flattering pink with golden tones)
  • Satin Sheets (shimmer – frosted golden pink – looks much  more gold than pink on me!)

Blushes:

  • Pink Wink (satin – bright and warm pink coral satin)
  • Pink Sand (matte mocha pink)

Bronzers (both skew pretty yellow/golden):

  • Sunny Honey (satin – warm ginger natural)
  • Tropic Like It’s Hot (shimmer – spiced terracotta)

So, I guess it depends on your skin tone, how heavy you apply them, and what your definition of the words “natural makeup” are. The colors are very easy to blend, and the formula is hydrating – with a dose of coconut oil. If you have dry skin, this is a great choice. If you have acne, be careful – coconut oil can be an acne trigger for some people.

If these look like your kind of colors, and you like a natural, but shimmery or glowy look, you can find the Too Faced Natural Face palette ($44) at Sephora and Ulta.

Cruelty free but owned by a non-cruelty-free parent company
